Special Recognition

PCAWL would like to extend special recognition to:

  1. Dr. Janke at Rolla Animal Hospital for extending a discount to PCAWL to enable our funds to go even further to help homeless and shelter animals.
  2. Rolla Friends of the Animals (president: Beth Lorey) for their generous donation to PCAWL.
  3. Lori Martin at Bear River Ranch for donating some much appreciated spays and neuters to PCAWL.
  4. Paula at Autumn Winds Wildlife Rehabilitation for her help with wildlife that comes to the shelter. Here's a webpage talking about her wonderful work.

Our Thanks to the following Special Individuals!

We would like to acknowledge a special second grader, Alexis Gillman. Instead of birthday presents for her 8th birthday, she asked that her friends donate to her cause--to help animals in need. The gifts ended up totaling $100, which was given to PCAWL to benefit animals. Thank you, Alexis, for your thoughtful act, and to your friends for their generous donations!

PCAWL would like to recognize Anna, who donated $50 of her own money in 2009 to help homeless animals. Anna is a niece of Robyn West, a long-time board member.

Jordan Whiteside donates her birthday money to the Phelps County Animal Welfare League. For her birthday this year, instead of her friends bringing gifts for her birthday party, she asked them to donate money for her cause (to help homeless animals). We applaud Jordan for her selfless act and thank her on behalf of all the animals that her donation will help. Way to go Jordan!

Thank You to Girl Scouts!

PCAWL commends Girl Scout Troop #522 for caring enough to help area cats and dogs. They developed a fundrising campaign called "Pennies for Pets" and designed collection jars that were placed in area vet clinics as well as Country Mart. Pictured below are Madison Mara and Miryah Squires presenting a check of $121.55 on behalf of their troop to Michelle Froehlich, PCAWL President.
