PCAWL Rescue Stories: Storm
Storm came to us as a 3 month old, a local breeder called and he had been returned to her due to seizures. We were asked if we were willing to take him and find him a home. We quickly agreed to give this little cutie a chance. He responded well to seizure medications and was dubbed Storm due to the "storms" in life he had to overcome.
Storm remained sweet through it all and his foster mom would pick him up and hold him when he had a seizure until he came back around. They started out to be frequent, several times a day and as the medication began helping they decreased as time passed. He remained on the meds and many, many people applied to adopt this boy. After about six months in foster care, Storm was ready to move on into a new home.
He still had seizures, but was still young and it was our hope, he would outgrow them in time as our veterinarian thought that he would. A family was chosen for him among the many applicants and Storm met them and it was love at first site for all of them. He now lives with a family with a couple wonderful kids to play with and a whole family to devote all the time and attention he needed. His seizures stopped in time and he was able to go off his medications and live a normal happy life. The once cast away dog, unwanted by others, overcame it all and is living truly happily ever after!
