PCAWL Rescue Stories: Phoebe
Phoebe is a precious and tiny 8 week old Daschund that was born blind. Her eyes did not develop and she could not see. The family that had the litter of babies took her to an eye specialist but it was determined that nothing medically could be done to help this tiny sweet baby to gain her sight. The family decided to leave her with their veterinarain to euthanize or rescue and a PCAWL volunteer offered to take her in and help her find a family.
An ad was posted for this cute baby and only a short time passed before the calls starting coming in to help her. Tiny Phoebe needed just the perfect family
to help her get along in life. We knew she would face challenges, but Phoebe never knew it. She played like all the other puppies and followed her masters feet as well as the four legged friends who helped her find her way. She was adopted to a wonderful home, thank you Betsy! She now has a people mom and dad who love her very much in spite of her inability to see them and a couple of very sweet Daschund buddies to help her to find her way.
