PCAWL Rescue Stories: Oreo
Oreo
is an extra sweet little black and white puppy whose time was up at the animal control shelter on Jan 9, 2009. Not only
was there a limited amount of space in the puppy room to keep her out of the miserable winter weather, but an outbreak of parvo put all the puppies' lives in immediate danger. In the nick of time, a foster parent at Phelps County Animal Welfare League rescued her.
Thank goodness--what a great dog! Even though she was only 5 months old, her intelligence shone through as she became crate trained, listened well, knew basic commands, and good with cats, dogs, kids, babies. She loved to play fetch and was generally happy and peppy. She now lives with her new forever family--thanks for adopting her and giving this dog a second chance at a happy home.
