PCAWL Rescue Stories: Heather
Heather was found by Brandi and her husband Carlton, two of our volunteers.
They took her to the shelter in hopes that the
her owner would go lo
oking
for this nice dog. No one showed up to claim Heather, and like
many black lab mixes (see Black Dog Syndrome), she was overlooked for adoption and faced euthanasia. Not wanting to
see this happen, they volunteered to foster Heather for a little while, until she found her
forever home. However, Heather fit in so well into their household with their existing pet,
Sasha, that this lucky dog found her forever home. Brandi & Carlton moved out of state, so
we wish them all well!
