PCAWL Rescue Stories: Bobble

Bobble landed in the Animal Shelter and was there long enough to run out of time. That very day, the bobble the dogwonderful people from Bear River Ranch came looking for suitable animals to come stay at their summer camp. The campers learn how to care for animals, "adopt" them for the time they are at camp, learn how important it is to spay and neuter pets and a lucky few get to adopt their special friends and take them home at the end of camp. Bobble caught the eye of a little girl who named him Bobble Bunny and spent her time with him for as long as she could. She tried her best to convince her parents to let her adopt Bobble and they said "first you have to prove to us you deserve this". Bobble didn't know why he was left behind again, nor why no one else wanted to take him home but summer ended and he was still there, waiting hopefully. He moved into foster care with a foster mom who left him with his strange name just in case a certain little girl managed to prove whatever she had to prove to her parents, but apparently she failed.

Bobble missed her for a bit, but quickly made friends with Ginger and Rosie and spent the warm days of autumn playing wildly in the dog yard. When the days started to get cool, Bobble needed a sweater but Ginger wouldn't leave it on him, so Bobble moved into the house. To foster mom's pleased surprise, Bobble was not only housetrained but a calm and cheerful little companion indoors. He was happy when winter came and Rosie came inside to play with him, but he really loved "movie night" when he could snuggle up with people on the couch. In fact, Bobble was just plain a happy little character. He cheerfully wore the goofy "mouse" costume in the Christmas parade and went to adoption events whenever they came along. He liked people everywhere he went, but somehow didn't win a home.

Then, as the long cold winter turned to spring, Bobble's luck changed! He caught the eye of some bobble is homespecial people who wanted a small dog to come live with them, preferably one happy to snuggle up and watch TV when his people wanted to be quiet and delighted to romp and play when his people wanted to play. Just the perfect home for Bobble as it happened!
