PCAWL Rescue Stories: Bear

Bear is a very sweet Border Collie/Black Lab male who found himself left at the shelter by previous owners who could not care for him. Due to his large size, Bear found it difficult to persuade passers by to pick him, when small dogs and puppies normally get picked first! He was already house trained, knew a lot of basic commands and just had a wonderful loving and submissive personality.

Time passed and his time was up, nobody had came to adopt him at the shelter. PCAWL decided to pull this sweet big lug and one of our fosters took him home. He was quickly altered and brought current on vaccinations and Bear was ready for his new home.

One wonderful local family saw his ad on Petfinder and had recently lost their large dog of many many years to old age. They were looking for a dog exactly like Bear! Bear met them and had his own doggie doors (just his size!) to go out into a large fenced yard to run and play! Bear finally found the happy home he had been waiting for his whole life!
